Doctor Dmitry Shmatov treated our father, Vasily Kolesnikov (b. 1947), in August–September 2024. He underwent a complex and lengthy open-heart surgery. Dr. Shmatov is an outstanding professional—attentive, responsible, and highly ethical. A man of his word and a surgeon with golden hands. In December 2024, I had a stroke. After detailed examinations and consultations with a cardiologist, I was transferred to a regional cardiology center, where a coronary angiography revealed severe heart disease. Due to arrhythmia and chronic angina, I was advised to undergo coronary artery bypass surgery. I was offered clinics in Moscow and St. Petersburg. I chose St. Petersburg. I underwent a radiofrequency ablation (RFA) procedure here. The doctors took their time and performed the operation with great care. The entire medical team was kind and professional.
