I was admitted to the hospital on October 8 for an occluder implantation operation. In the cardiac surgery department, Larisa Yuryevna Kalashnikova was my attending physician. The doctor examined me before the operation, listened attentively, and ordered a cardiac CT scan. She explained why a planned operation is necessary for paroxysmal atrial fibrillation and told me what the treatment plan was. Larisa Yuryevna also monitored me after the operation, asked about my well-being, and gave recommendations for further treatment. We went through many examinations (needed and not needed). Everyone just threw up their hands. And time went on. Mom was getting worse and worse. She lost 14 kg, her blood pressure was 70/50. I was troubled by arrhythmia, and in the spring I had suffered a stroke. Doctor A. A. Sheremet offered me surgical treatment, explaining how important it is to start treatment in time. They carried out all the necessary preoperative examinations and scheduled the operation taking the tests into account (this was very important for us, since there is a concomitant oncological disease). The transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVI) was successfully performed by cardiovascular surgeon Alexey Sergeyevich Vasilyev! Implantation of a permanent endocardial pacemaker was also performed by surgeon Andrey Alexandrovich Sorokin. Many thanks to Alexey Sergeyevich and Andrey Alexandrovich for their work, for prolonging the lives of people, our loved ones! It is so important when a doctor not only takes responsibility, but also says words of support and gives hope! Throughout the preparation and after the operation we were accompanied by the attending physician Larisa Yuryevna Kalashnikova. I would like to note her attentive attitude towards a patient of such advanced age. She explained very patiently and clearly everything the doctors were doing, and this really calmed mom, and she went to the operation completely without fear. This is very important!
