As a result of an examination at another clinic, I was diagnosed with coronary artery disease. That same day, Ilshat Shamilievich came to my clinic and told me that I urgently needed heart bypass surgery. This operation was covered under a quota and could be performed within the next two weeks. I agreed to the surgery, and everything happened exactly as the doctor had said. The surgery was performed within the specified time frame, at a high level. After the operation, I was sent for rehabilitation at a sanatorium. While preparing for the operation, I read Gleb Irlamovich’s book “Heart Surgery: A Patient’s Guide”, which describes in detail the process of coronary artery bypass surgery, heart valve replacement, and postoperative rehabilitation. I liked this guide so much that I decided to meet Gleb Irlamovich in person. We discussed the details of the surgery and recovery in depth and talked about important aspects of rehabilitation.
