Cardiac Surgeon from the Center of Cardiac Surgery Speaks at Future Korean Leaders 2025 in South Korea

The international conference «Future Korean Leaders 2025» took place in South Korea, bringing together more than 60 leaders of Korean origin from different countries, as well as local experts focused on international cooperation and innovative technologies. Five representatives from Russia were invited to participate in the conference.

An honorary speaker at the event was Gleb I. Kim, a cardiovascular surgeon at the Center of Cardiac Surgery and Interventional Cardiology and Associate Professor at St. Petersburg State University. In his presentation, he introduced Expert Opinion AI, an innovative artificial intelligence–based clinical decision support system. The project, which has received multiple professional awards in Russia, is designed to assist physicians in selecting optimal treatment strategies for patients with cardiovascular diseases.

In addition to presenting the technological aspects of the project, the speaker shared his personal experience in developing leadership skills and building effective motivation systems within professional teams.

The conference business program included meetings with senior government representatives and a visit to the national parliament. Through group discussions, negotiations, and working sessions, participants outlined concrete plans for expanding international cooperation and establishing leadership development systems starting from school age. Special attention was given to startup development and the implementation of innovative technologies across various sectors, including healthcare.

Participation in the conference opened new opportunities for Gleb Kim. “During the negotiations, we outlined specific plans for further cooperation. We also identified partners from several countries with whom we plan to develop international projects,” he noted. According to the speaker, these agreements represent an important step in the global development of Expert Opinion AI and in strengthening international collaboration in the field of innovative medical technologies.

During his visit to South Korea, Gleb Kim also toured a startup park in Incheon, where cutting-edge Korean technologies and organizational solutions are showcased. The visit highlighted the importance of combining leadership, scientific expertise, and advanced technology as the foundation for meaningful progress in medicine and for improving quality of life worldwide.
